EMS and the Environment

In addition to our legal and moral responsibilities with respect to the environment, we take specific measures to ensure that our design, installation and maintenance activities have the minimum environmental impact. We do this by:

• designing systems using equipment with high efficiencies, as opposed to offering solutions that may have lowest initial capital cost
• looking at alternative solutions to the normal refrigeration based cooling (for example evaporative cooling)
• providing ongoing advice to maintenance clients regarding equipment efficiency
• taking steps to minimise refrigerant leaks (which is now a legal requirement – see REFCOM).
