F-Gas affects global warming

F-Gas certification renewed for another three years

F-Gas is an essential certification for any company dealing with refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump equipment where fluorinated gases are commonly found. We are therefore pleased to announce that we have once again renewed our F-Gas certification for another three years

What is F-Gas?

F-Gas or EU regulation 842/2006 came into force in March 2009. The legislation relates to the dangers of hydrofluorocarbons (HCF’s) which if released into the atmosphere have a negative global warming impact.

What does the certification actually entail?

To qualify for F-Gas certification, a company has to display, through adequate training, that any employee who will be in contact with HCF’s have the skills and understanding to properly handle these gases safely. Our engineers have a schedule of continuous training to not only ensure that we meet the requirements of F-Gas but to also ensure that they can offer our customers the highest standard of installation, maintenance and service possible.

Why is this important to you and your business?

As a company with any air conditioning, heating or refrigeration system that contains HCF refrigerants, you need to ensure that you have the correct systems in place to avoid any leaks of this damaging substance. You will need to do this by employing a reliable HVAC contractor with F-Gas certification such as EMS Ltd.
