Service and maintenance for a pharmaceutical company’s clean rooms |
Project description
Our client, a contract packaging company, handles a large variety of pharmaceuticals for many different clients. It has constructed many “Packing Cubicles” over its large site, each to a specific clean room standard to suit the product requirement.
It is therefore imperative to maintain a strict regime of testing, as well as routine maintenance, to ensure that design standards are maintained.
EMS drew up, in consultation with the client, a preventative maintenance plan to run in parallel with a testing programme, and which incorporates:
- HVAC plant routine maintenance
- room particulate counting
- regular changing of panel filters and belts
- HEPA filter DOP testing
- checking of air change rates
- checking of room pressure profiles
- monitoring spares stock levels
- checking plant power consumptions
This regular inspection regime, supported by monthly status reports, enables this client to address potential problems before they cause production downtime.
In addition to the above, EMS provide:
- advice on running costs and power consumption
- advice on business critical plant redundancies strategies
- an EMS Reference Manual and technical bulletins
